Hey Guys,

great Forums.
Found a lot of help here when i was searching for my first Breitling and still have a lot of fun with it :lingsrock:

I have to admit i´m fascinatd of the straight forward and elegant look of the Submainer since i first saw one...
and i think the time has come to get one.

I´d like to buy a 14060 i think it is?
A Submariner with black dial, steel, no Date and no "Big Dial"? Do they call it like that? The bigger Dots for the Hourmarkers, i don´t like those.

I´m searching for a used one around 10 years old.

Searching online for fitting models atm, ideally i´ll find one not too far away from me to take a look first and take it wih me, without shipping etc.

The problem i have, and why i opened this thread: Are there some thngs that do lower the value of that model? And i´m not talking about scratches, missing papers/Box or worn out Wristbraces.
Because i´m no Rolex Expert and if i search Plattforms like Chrono24 it seems to me i can find Models around 5k Euros and up and there are also ones below 4k. Down to 3.5. Also around 10 years old, complete Sets and not much signs of wear...
So there are 1500 Euros inbetween for (to me) no obvious reason.
So i´m asking if those might be equipped with different calibers f/ex or if there are other reasons for them to bee "less valuable"

Thank you very much and a nice holiday-season to all of you :)

For everything about The Sub and Rolex in general, I would recommend checking out www.rolexforums.com

Good luck on picking one up!

Thank you very much.
I´ll try my luck over there.
Was under the impression a few around here had one too (because i saw some in the pics at the "What watch do you wear today" thread).
All in all i´m really into Breitling, i just don´t like (sorry) Rip-Offs when it comes to things (designs in this case) i like so i´d like to get a real Sub.

All the best :)
