Very interesting read. Consensus seems to be Bremont (who else - first brand I thought of when reading the article) mislead everyone with the release of their new LE, similar to Tag with the 1887. Can't say I disagree, no matter what the Company has said since then. A shame really, of all the people not to attempt to fool (whether accidental or otherwise) a WIS is definitely top of the list :wink: Still an impressive achievement, and the Company seems well on its way to a true in-house movement, made in Britain or elsewhere. Not sure I agree with the $20k list price though :shock:

Good response from Roger Smith IMO. Does anyone think a movement will be wholly made in Britain in the future?

Not wholly. Things like hairsprings are so difficult / expensive to produce it doesn't make economic sense for small niche players to invest in developing their own so they will always be reliant on international suppliers.
