So, I was in my local watch shop today perusing their pre-owned selection and came across this...







I don't really know what to make of it. At first glance, I really liked it, and asked for more info. They have taken it in as a commission sale. Looking at it, and the website, it is Swiss made, has an ETA 7750 movement, sapphire crystal (ar on one side), ceramic bezel, screw down pushers and crown, as well as an helium escape value. He's given it to me to make a decision on, and to research the brand, but I cannot find much in the way of reviews etc..

The watch itself seems solid - built really well, the bracelet is good and detailed quite nicely...however it does lack a bit of quality/finishing on the clasp, and the case back.

The owner is asking £350. The problem I have is that whilst I personally don't think it's a bad buy for £350 if it is what it says it is, but on their website it says it retails at $6k+. It's almost like another Invicta style brand, but actually (supposedly) using reasonable components.

I don't exactly need the watch, and to be honest could do with putting the money towards another Breitling (Hello by the way, been away for a long time ). But, I'm strangely drawn to it.

What do you think? Junk?

Interesting. I keep thinking of antacid tables every time I say the name. Not sure why. Good looking watch all the same.

Invicta or Stovard Jurgenson does come to mind on price claims. It's cheap if it's a real 7750 based watch. Might be worth it for the novelty.

It's one of many boutique brands with crazy list prices that sell for far less in the real world. If you like it you won't lose too much more on resale, assuming that you can sell it as it's niche.

TBH, £350 for an ETA 7750 equipped watch is a good buy IMO. If you like it (and actually I like it for the price), then I say go for it.
