'Cheap' is a subjective term relative to one's circumstances. What's cheap to you may be expensive to another guy. I love my Lings but also my Hamiltons which aren't so much cheap as 'good value'. I wear all my watches including my Citizen AT4000 which is supremely accurate but not as satisfying to wear as my costlier timepieces. I wear a Lorus Lumibrite when doing tasks which are likely to cause damage because I need to know the time but don't want to sacrifice my 'good' watches. So do I wear cheap watches? Yes I do depending on what I'm doing.

I bought a G-Shock, with the idea of wearing it hunting. I did wear it for about a month, but it was only because I didn't have any other watches at the time. I still have it, although I don't wear it all now. My Navitimer World gets all my wrist time, and I have a B4B on the way. Actually, I also have a Ball Watch Co Diver that I wear occasionally, but it's a a bit too small for my wrist.

what do you wear hunting now?

Well TBH I ended up wearing the DSSD with me hunting, and the Casio stayed home!

Yea, I still wear my Citizen beater quartz watches when machining, painting, wrenching, mowing, chain sawing, etc.

When on a boat or in the ocean, cheaper watches work well as I don't want to risk losing something I value. That's about it for me.

When I am on my boat, I wear a Casio Pathfinder. I never wear my Breitlings when I am doing stuff outside. I also have a Marathon, but it is not a beater.

I'll happily buy and wear a watch regardless of how cheap it is as long as it appeals.

I'm not in to fashion watches though I do own a Timberland Quartz which I guess falls in to that category slightly.

Other than that I have Breitling, Helson, Seiko, Citizen, G-Shock, Pulsar, Mondain, Poljot, Orient and Cogito

I think the longest owned watch I have is my Helson Buccaneer GMT, it's number 100/100 and I don't think I'd ever sell that one, it just ticks all the boxes.

But they all get worn!

Stef

Yep. On my diving trips or when I'm shooting I'm using Eco Drives. Besides just sent my Super Avenger II for warranty repairs so have no choice but wear my Citizens..

Citizens work great to knock around in, I wear 4 different styles, all eco-drives. I work a high impact/potentially highly damaging job so, my Nike sport watch, which has seen a better day, gets worn daily.
Breitlings get worn whenever they can.

The "cheapest" watch I wear nowadays is a G-Shock when doing outdoors/rugged type stuff.

My everyday/beater is currently my white dialed Steelfish on rubber strap. Currently has white paint overspray on the strap! It used to be the black Steelfish but it looks so darn nice after servicing that I can't wear it for the daytime watch.

Of all my watches, both past and present, my Steelfishes get the wrist love more. I haven't worn the Bell and Ross or Breitlingsource LE in a very long time. Probably ought to sell the Phantom, but dang it's a cool watch!
