Working in Landscaping I destroy watches.

All except the Casio G-Shock.
For what it is; the greatest watch on the planet.

I'm the same way. In fact, I'm heavily considering giving my brother my automatic Movado as I just don't wear that, or many of my watches any more.

I had bought a Hamilton for traveling and found that I really didn't give it that much wear... I than gave the still "like new" Hamilton to my younger brother who had never owned a mechanical watch before on Christmas. He loves it and wears it everyday.

That was one of the best things I ever did with a watch :) made me just as happy as it made him.

As for my collection, it starts on the lower price end with a 2k Sif NART, which is one of the best and least boring watches I have encountered so far, which easily runs within COSC tolerances (mine is around - 0.5 seconds over three days), which there are only very few of, which is built like a tank and which I absolutely love the look of... So I absolutely do wear that... A lot actually... If not even more than all the others.

I wear my TO Unitime most of the time. However I have a Citizen Calibre 8700 that my wife got me when we were engaged that i will never part with. I wear it if I want to be more understated, or if I want the look of a steel watch but am doing a higher risk activity (beach for example)... I also have a Casio Pathfinder that my Squadron issued me. That (due to uber light weight and its features) is my go-to flying and workout watch. Also in my collection is my Seiko that my mom got me as a high school grad gift. That one has a cracked crystal and a dead battery but like my citizen, has a lot of sentimental value. If I get around to fixing it, it will get worn as well.

The Inexpensive Citizen Calibre 8700 I mentioned earlier... Present from the wife when we were in college and had just gotten engaged. Nothing special but has some nice features (perpetual date that accounts for month and leap year, 2 time zones, and an alarm) comfy and looks nice (imho) and packs some sentimental value

I have 2no vintage Breitlings, a Navi 806 and Toptime 2000. I don't actually wear these but I like them, I am not yet competent to work on the movements. I have a few vintage Seiko's from the 70's and 80's which I absolutely love the styles and these are my daily wearers. It makes a difference to me that I can restore and service most of my watches and because of that I think they mean much more to me than my Breitlings. I am at the moment working on my mythical Seiko Vulcan 7a38, great watch, great movement, great history ( ).

Hopefully I will be able to find time to do the research on my Breitlings movements in the future and maybe they will then get some wrist time

I bought a G-Shock, with the idea of wearing it hunting. I did wear it for about a month, but it was only because I didn't have any other watches at the time. I still have it, although I don't wear it all now. My Navitimer World gets all my wrist time, and I have a B4B on the way. Actually, I also have a Ball Watch Co Diver that I wear occasionally, but it's a a bit too small for my wrist.

I actually traded the DS for the Breitling. I liked it, but after owning it for a couple months I just felt it was a bit too plain for my taste.

Are we talking about cheap vs affordable vs expensive watches? For me my cheap watches were the ones I purchase when I was young like swatches and Timexs but once I got back into wearing something better built was the affordable brands Seikos and Tissots. Now a days, it's mostly higher end brands like Breitling and going up the food chain. But would buying a used SuperOcean for $500 be consider a cheap watch or are we talking about the build quality and not just price?

I'm mostly in the same boat as most here, mainly wear the higher end watches.
