Ok. I haven't quite stepped into the REAL watch game yet however am getting closer. That said, I fancy a few Breitlings and one or two Omega's. I'm learning a lot on here and because I wouldn't be wearing the watch daily, would it be smart to put one of these watches on a watch winder? I realize I'm not being very specific, just talking in generalities.

Are the figures quoted the amount required to keep the watch wound to the point it was placed onto the winder?

I am assuming it is the case, so for example my Chronomat GMT requires 800tpd, is this figure purely a maintaining requirement?

Yes, as I noted in the first post winders are designed to add 24 hours of reserve in a 24 hour period so if you put a watch on a winder set to the number of tpd it needs it will have the same reserve when you take it off as when you put it on.
