anyone know anything about vintage IWCs? someone has one listed locally for about $750, and it looks pretty sweet. looks circa 1950s, stainless steel, caliber 89. thanks for any possible info.

Nice watches, not my favorite but if a good deal can be had...

One thing to check, has it been serviced lately? if it has go for it, especially if its a Quartz or Mechaquartz!!!!!!!! Servicing IWC can be very very expensive, I mean 1k expensive.

thanks for the info about the cost of servicing. from what i understand the cal 89 is actually a hand-wound mechanical. that's why i'm so interested. i'd like to add a manual wind, its a nice vintage and its an attractive price point.

Shame it's mechanical - a 1950s Quartz for $750 would have been a deal :lol:
