Anyone had any dealings or experience with Chopard watches? I've always thought them a little dressy, but then I came across the Mille Miglia range and I really like them -

Anyone own one? Build quality? Reliability, etc?

Excellent watches!! As far as workmanshipp goes they are not in the leage of Tier 1Rolex/Omega/Breitling but more of a Tier 1/ Class B watch.

I've never really handled the Mille Miglia lines, but I've handled their higher end lines with the in-house movements. Their cases and bracelets and stuff aren't as nice as Breitlings, but their movements are very beautiful to look at. Their jewelry watches for women with the happy diamonds are really nice.

My mother owns a couple of those, they are quite extraodinary to look at.

Thanks for the input guys. Build quality and feel is all important to me so maybe I'll steer clear if it's not quite up there with Breitling...

I've not seen one of these up close. I've seen several ladies Chopard watches, but not many mens pieces. I like the style of the watch. Looks very nice. I would like to see one on a bracelet.

Yeah I think they look great, and pretty rare on the street too. I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing one in the flesh. (But if the build is not up there with the best then I'd be a bit disappointed if I bought one).

I wouldn't mind seeing one on a bracelet either - but I'm not sure if these have the option as they seem to have either a kind of 60's/70's style punched-hole leather strap of a Dunlop tyre effect rubber strap. Guess it's all in keeping with the Mille Miglia race theme.....

I saw one on a strap that did look like it was riding on a tire!

I like the styling. Nice layout on the dial, easy to read features!

I have also just seen the punched strap or the Dunlop rubber on the Mille Miglia. If it was possible to get with their Imperiale bracelets, it could start to become interesting.

MM are super watches, the older ones had a great price/value relation, some of the newer ones are a little bit expensive. The small one with the large date is a little problem with the movement, but the regular 7750 models are fine. They are not as fast selling as Breitling, but they don't get old on stock.
