Trying Breitling's military-style strap as a change from rubber

Very nice! How does it wear compared to the rubber?

Thanks. It's quite different: thinner, stiffer, but still comfortable. Holds the watch head in place without having to have it too tight, but it's a bit shorter than the proII and proIII: I have fairly small wrists but have it on the third hole in. The buckle is a "single" but the strap has two keepers. Way too expensive in my view, but since I knew that and still chose to buy it, I didn't ought to complain. Nice tight weave and lined with soft leather.
