The Franckie is now gone, but I took some pics before it went on it's merry way. Its replacement is a beautiful Cartier Roadster. Oops on the posting in another thread earlier :D

So why did you decide on letting it go? Nice pics though. I'm still not very excited about it, but the blue hands and the bracelet are really nice.

And of course, where are the pics of the Roadster? :D

I have to say I'm not surprised that you've sent the Frankie for an "early bath" Admin! I'm sure it's well finished and all that but let's face it you're a Breitling man, and that one was never gonna fulfill your "manly quotient", now was it!

Well.. to be honest, the guy I dealt with neglected to mention the scratches in the crystal that you can see in the pics. I was faced with either sending the Franckie in for a fix up, or trading it to someone that was fine with the blemishes to the crystal or that would like it enough that they could do the tuning. I secured a deal on a Cartier Roadster that I really like and is about the same size as the Muller, though actually sits a bit smaller on the wrist due to its less elongated body... so I figured that they were kind of both similar dress-watch-on-a-bracelet type of watches so I let the Franckie go.

I ended up trading it for something :) It should be hear soon. Its an IWC ;)

Woo suspense!!! :)

Hmmmm, now let me see. If we're talking something simple and dressy then I reckon maybe a Portuguese? Or pehaps for more of a crossover piece then could it be a Spitfire? I'm not really feeling an Aquatimer (unless it's the Jacques Cousteau special edition).....

Or...... after seeing a thread on here before, could it be an Ingenieur????

Yes, I have sensed Admin eyeing an Ingenieur... That would be my vote.

You bought a Roadster?

You suck! :P

I really want a Chrono Roadster! My wife has a Roadster, and she absolutley loves it.

Congrats on the new piece.

I have to congratulate Driver8.. he was correct with his first guess.. pictures will be up in a minute!

Yup I got the regular roadster... older one. I do want a Chrono Roadster now but I kind of like the understated size. After having several Full Lings I am starting to like something smaller when I don't want someone to notice my watch.. plus I'm still trying to build up the courage to drop $10K+ on a Flying B
