Well I must first apologize for the crappy pics. I saw this watch back in Sept 2007, made a deposit at an AD - popular chain in the U.S.,(starts with a "T") with poor results. They never called, didn't seem too motivated to answer my questions etc. I spoke with the sale's rep on three occasions and he didn't remember me. Very poor service. I was beginning to lose faith in getting one. So what did I do? I found a Chrono Avenger....it satisfied me for the time being.

I then did my homework and ended up at Feldmar, 9000 W. Pico Blvd in Los Angeles on Nov. 12, 2007, told them what I wanted, they assured me they were getting 1 and that I was good to go. I put a deposit (remember I still have a deposit with the "T" company) So last week I get the call...."your watch is in." I couldn't believe it. The next day (I kid you not), I received a copy of my receipt stating a reverse debit on my credit card from the "T" company stating, I have a refund, unable to secure watch.

So I did what anyone possessed would do, I drove 3 hours to LA today, and picked up my Avenger Skyland Black Steel Limited Edition that I thought I would never own. I feel like a little kid!!!! Feldmar staff were the best. From this day forward I will give them all the action!!! Completely professional, honest, and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone. I know I haven't posted much on here, but hopefully this will up my "STREET CRED'S" in the Breitling world.

It must be a sickness...HAHA

Congratulations! I am very glad you were finally able to get one. I purchased mine last week, from my local AD Time & Gold here in Vancouver. I was a lot luckier in that mine was easier to find. I happened to go past the AD and look in the window a couple of weeks ago, and there it was just sitting there! I had only just bought a Steelfish a couple of weeks earlier, but when I saw the Blacksteel and tried it on, and did some research in this forum, I realized I had to have it.
This is the most fantastic watch I have owned! The thing is so rugged, and is a delight to behold. Today is my one-week anniversary. I like everything about this watch. To me, the diver pro rubber strap is the perfect match. The watch is very comfortable. It has barely lost or gained a second in the entire week. I test it against my computer time every day, and it is bang on! I too felt like a kid when I got mine - a 58-year-old kid! I was going to wait till my 60th birthday, and get a Blackbird. When I saw this watch, I knew that it wouldn't be around in a couple of years, and it did appeal to me more than the Blackbird, or any other Breitling (I also looked at a Bentley 6.75). This is the one for me!
I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I am. Congrats again!
Cheers,
Carl

Nice pic and a great pick up! Sweet story - glad you found an AD more trustworthy and that you got your initial deposit back!

If someone's still interested, my AD have two Blacksteels left... :)

The pictures looked fine to me! I don't think there is any such thing as crappy pics of LING!

I must say, with all the recent posts post & pics of Avenger Skylands here recently, I am leaning towards this as my next purchase. . . . .hmmm Navitimer or Skyland Avenger. . . . .decisions decisions!

If that was to me, you have to remember we're in expesive Sweden and not in the states... They are listed at $5800.

Thanks for the PM. I'm not looking to buy one (if so, I'd pick one of my AD's two...) but I know others are - that's why I said I see two (still) at my AD. I feel this forum is very open when it comes to prices. No one will blame you for making a good deal, or revealing what you got it for.

Yea, it totally is a sickness. I received a LING for Christmas, and the purchased another LING 3 weeks later!

Oh Did I mention I also purchased one for my wife? And now I am trying to decide with one to buy next. . . . . .Sickness you ask? Yes I think it is!
