Hi All,

I am new to the Forum but have been reading up on Breitlings for a while now and have been looking at buying for about 4 to 5 years. Loads of other things always calling for, I am sure most people will understand the scenario.

I live in the West Midlands county of the UK and have visited a number of AD's in my travels around the UK as Sales Manager for a lighting manufacturer.

Most are reasonably helpful except when it comes to the pricing or more specific in offering any real discount, most of the time it is a token gesture, as if they are doing you a big favour, which I find somwhat frustrating if one is considering a £3K to £6K + spend on a time piece.

I will be visiting Dubai shortly and also Canada later this year, so I will be looking at the pricing situation in both locations.

I have had some pm's with Mario re the group buy and he has been helpful.

I am going to take the plunge and buy in the very near future as I have admired the brand for many years now.

I saw the new Breitling for Bentley GMT in the flesh so to speak yesterday and I was very impressed with this specific model.

Anybody got any thoughts on the GMT ?

Anybody aware of what the actual delivery lead in time might be for the all steel version.

Excellent Forum, keep up the good work everybody.

Regards

Gerry

Welcome aboard!

Bentley GMT isn't really my cup of tea, but it does seem to be growing on a few people. I think it's one of those pieces that looks very different in different dials. I agree with bnewbie that it has to be on the speed bracelet rather than the rubber.

They are starting to become more readily available, and if you end up buying from a chain they will likely have the one you want (because they can transfer from one of their other stores).

Good luck with the hunt!

I think the GMT is a great watch. What a cool watch to have if you travel a lot, or not. I just think it would be cool to be able to use the 2nd time zone feature to any one of the cities listed on the outer portion of the dial. Let us know how it works out for you with purchasing this piece. 8)

I would definitely get the speed bracelet on this model and consider the rubber strap to have when you want to change it up a bit.

Hello Everyone
This is quite an interesting site and I glad I stumbled across it. I am in the market to add a watch to my new collection. First watch is an Omega Seamaster Automatic. I like the look and design of Breitling and feel it would be a great addition. I have been looking at the Colt GMT. Is there anyone out there that owns one or could give me a little background or info on that model. Im trying to stay away from the superocean as i feel it would look to similar to my seamaster. Thanks for having me here and look forward to any suggestions.
