How are you all doing?

Been lurking here for a while, building my knowledge. I first became aware of Breitling watches whilst watching the amazing Breitling fighters warbirds in action at the bi-annual Warbirds over Wanaka show in 2004 in New Zealand, been lusting one ever since! and being a private pilot, it all kinda just fits.

Living in London for 3 years now, heading home in a few months and think that a breitling would be a great present to myself

Dont have loads of money to spend, but like the look of the Colt Automatic to kick of my collection as a everyday watch, esp as I have smallish wrists. Best price I have found in the UK, for a blue face Colt auto II with the Pro II bracelet is just over £1,300. How does this compare with other parts of the world, we are passing threw Dubai on the way home to NZ, are Breitlings significantly cheaper there?

I second Doc's comments whole-heartedly.

Until very recently I've always been a slave to my AD. Sure I've managed to get some discounts (some more reasonable that others), but even after knowing and buying from them for at least 10 years, they've never come close to either US AD or online prices.

I recently bought outside of the AD network as the piece I wanted (my Bentley Le Mans) was only made in 2003 and long since sold out, and I have to say I am very VERY happy with both the watch, the experience and the price!

After reading about the very positive experiences of the guys on here buying online and at non-UK AD's, I think my next purchase (whenever that may be!) will definitely be outside of the UK AD network.

So, to cut a long story short(!), Doc is absolutely right and ANYWHERE other than the UK is a great place to buy Breitlings!

I honestly don't see how you guys across the pond do it. Buying without much of a discount would be very hard for me.

Welcome aboard!

Colt Auto is a great watch! And it's good that you admit to just be starting a "collection" -- at you're realistic about it. :)

Good luck with your purchase, post some pics when you get it.
