Just wanted to say hello -- Joined today, I thinking very HARD about buying my first peice. I wanted to get a nice large second hand watch, or new. Any help or info would be great. DOES not have to be auto..

Welcome to the forum NYTUGS. :welcome:

Have a look at the Superocean Steelfish X-Plus. Big (44mm) chunky watch with classic Breitling styling. Second hand models are relatively cheap compared to chronographs such as the Chronomat or Navitmer.

However, take great care that you only buy one with full paperwork (COSC certificate which matches the serial on the watch, warranty papers, jeweller's receipt etc) as there are some VERY good fakes around with genuine Swiss ETA movements which are almost impossible to distinguish from the genuine watches.

Whatever you get, enjoy it and remember to post pictures!
