Hi guys been reading forums first time posting.

Thoughts on this 806 AOPA Navi?

My main concern is the thickness of the hands on the sundials. Believe hour hand is supposed to be thick and others thing, but this looks like hands have been swapped.

Any thoughts much appreciated. Seller says he got it at an estate sale. I asked him for help determining provenance.

Just switch them back. No harm caused.

Got it, thanks again.

One more and hope it’s kosher to discuss price here, forgive a newcomer if not.

Any idea what a fair price for such a timepiece would be?

not so kosher. So many variables - country you're in, auction price, dealer price, retail, etc.

the only thing I see that isn't ideal is that the lume is blackened, but it isn't bad at all. The rest of the dial is in good condition - whites are white and blacks are black. So look at eBay sold prices and you'll be at the top end of those.

Just reviewed other 1965 AOPA sold on eBay.

Any chance mine has a replacement outer bezel/slide? Looks very white and in good condition compared to other examples.

There’s no way of knowing what was done to your watch over the past 50 years. The sliderule that is there is a correct Breitling one. Is it original to the watch, or was it replaced 30, 20, 10, or 1 year ago? Who can say for certain. Often what you see is a very white sliderule and not so white subdials, so you know it was replaced. Yours all seems to match well so I personally wouldn’t worry about it at all.
