Post subject:  806 original?

Hi guys,

After a period of collecting Rolexes, I found out the Breitling heritage. I’m very impressed and would like to start buying my first Breitling.

I found this 806 at a local very well-known dealer. The price is about EUR 4950,- and in my opinion a bit high but negotiable. The watch is looks in good condition and is well serviced. On the dial it has some greyish crackling in the paint.

Could you guys help me out looking if the parts are all matching and original?

Thanks a lot!

Couldn’t tell if everything was matching and correct without a side photo showing crown and pushers, and a shot of the back and the movement, but I can say that is looks like the dial was re-lumed at some time. Case looks sharp and unpolished which is a positive.

agree that the "2" in the "12" lume doesnt look right. Not sure if its a relume thought as the rest of the markers look ok. At that price thought there are better examples to find.

Thanks for your opinions! Color of the lume seems ok, but the 12 looked a bit weird for me as well.

Unfortunately I have no other pictures. It’s not on their website yet.

I let this one pass. Breitlings are much more difficult to find in local stores than Rolex. However searching is more fun than actually owning the watch...
