Thank Fred & Rene.

Pity that this one is not all correct as the watch looks really awesome!

Are the original hands and crown easy to find?

How good is the caliber 125?

I don't mean to hijack your thread my friend. However I came here to ask about an old watch I was gifted by my grandfather. He couldn't tell me much about it. Turns out the watch I came here to ask about, is also a Transocean, very similar to the one you've asked about. So to avoid another thread, I thought I could maybe post some pictures here.

Can one of you help me date the watch maybe? I would also like to know if this is a watch I should be wearing or keep in a box. Thanks a lot :)

can't really precisely date it, but the TO was launched in 1957 and produced until the early 1960s, so that provide a rough range - if you have a watchmaker open the watch, you'll find a serial inside the caseback, then we can tell you the case production year.

have it serviced, wear and enjoy it; the solid gold TO are rare and lovely birds !

you'll find period catalogs and more info in the thread I linked to above.
