Hello All,

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and trying to learn from the community here. It has been very informative and helpful.

I recently purchased a Breitling Top Time 2000-33 from eBay for $1400.

Everything looks accurate based on my research but would love your opinion on this watch.

Here are some pics:

Nice piece but I think the pushers and crown are oversize and probably later replacements. You can Google around and compare yourself.

Thank you very much for your response. Do you think it can be the angle of the picture that is making the pushers look big? (I haven't received the watch yet)

I found these pics online that show the pushers of similar size. Also, can larger pushers fit on watches they aren't made for?

How does the rest of the watch look?

There are many different sizes and styles of pushers. Many mount exactly as the originals or the case can be modified to accept a different style pusher. They can be screw in or press in. You see this often when the original style pushers and crowns are no longer available.

Thank you for the response "vintage"

The pushers seem more aged than the case, would that be because the pushers might be original breitling but from a different watch?
Would you know how I go about getting the pushers inspected once I receive the watch?

Also, what do you think about the rest of the watch, dial, case etc. ?

Thanks,
Prince

agree w/ Paul, pushers and crown aren't original, rest is authentic and in nice shape.

In picture 0755 in the ops thread what is the hole below where it says top time at 6 oclock . Just asking as my own doesn't have this . Or is it a camera trick.

Reflection of the camera would be my guess. Black dials require a little more camera angle so as to not reflect images.

Thanks so much guys for all the input.

Just had a few more questions:

1) How big is the impact on the value of the watch with the crown and pushers being replacements? Is the $1400 too much to pay for this?

2) Would you consider the replacement crown and pushers a deal breaker? Would you return the watch or renegotiate the price?

3) Do you think the replacement crown and pushers are Breitling original parts?

Thanks a lot in advance.

@ducatti2242 - yes that's a reflection.

Price is fair and replacement parts wouldn't be a deal breaker for me anyway.
