Hello , I am new to this forum ,
Herewith a probably Breitling watch ,. Number 819574 and 805 on back of steel case . I am seeking for info on the dial because the dial is missing .
Should I have remake the '53 dial that originally belonged on this watch ? Does anybody have the layout of such a dial ?
Thanks for help .

Martin .

I split your post out from the one that you posted in (on the Emergency) and have moved to the vintage section.

You can attach .jpg files up to 200k directly to your posts (just scroll down below the main message window) and instructions for larger files are here - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453

805 would be a Datora - i.e. a Triple Date, should be easy to tell if that fits ?

To be honest I can't tell much from those photos. The bridge engraving and serial numbers look consistent for Breitling, and the dial layout is correct for an 805, but that's about all I can comfortably say.

sorry, but your - rather unrealistic - hope for a period correct dial would be to find a donor watch with a damaged case and a nice dial,
I have never seen an authentic Datora dial alone for sale.

The - realistic - alternative is to have the dial refinished by somebody very competent.

OK thanks , I start realizing now how difficult it is ... My own watch restorer and Chronodeco offered me a NOS dial that look more or less the same . If nobody can do a remake on the dial that went with the watch I will have to go for that solution ...and maybe in the future find a damaged watch as your suggest ... Martin
