Here's one that has been offered on Ebay on and off for several years now
A few years ago I asked the seller for a ref number and when I questioned the authenticity and provide proof that it was authentic I received a very pissy reply 'Dear Sir as you dont know what you are talking about I will never answer any of your questions again'

Well you have to admit that it's extremely likely that Breitling produced a 24 hour Cosmonaute that has never before been documented and that had no numbers on the caseback

Ohhh .. thats just nasty ! :D

anyway , I found the details again

Q:
Hi, what is the reference number on the back of this watch ?
1806 , 1809, or something else ? , can you send me pictures of the back and the movement ? , thanks

A:
I can give you these details:
external backcase n.1294
internal backcase: Breitling ltd swiss

The movement is a Buren Calibre 14

Q:
Thank you for the extra pictures but I suspect this is not original ?
The Cal 14 signed Buren is not Breitling and this type cosmonaute, as far as I know, was never released as a GMT model ?
, although it is probably well done, adding the GMT complication, I suspect it is not original ?

A:
I've always been jeweller since two generations... I know very well my work
and the Breitling watches of which I was official dealer from 1979 to 2000
and I confirm You that the item for sale before putting for sale has been
sent to Breitling and they confirmed me the complete authenticity... I am
sorry but You are ill-informed.

Q:
Can you send me the a copy of the written confirmation from Breitling OR a copy of a catalog that lists this watch ?
I may be wrong but I would like proof

A:
Dear Sir , as you are clearly Ill-informed I will no longer answer any questions you have

Do you still have the pics he sent you? Can you post them? Actually this watch is completely within the realm of possibility. Breitling did produce
a large case Cosmonaut (Cal 11/12), did do a large case GMT (cal 14), so it's a simple matter to do a large case GMT with 24 hour gear which could be readily assembled from parts on hand. Unfortunately this is the exact reason to be suspicious of it at the same time. It could be easily replicated from spare parts. I asked him for some pics too so will see for myself if he sends them.

I dont have the pics anymore , they are lost in a puter crash from my home pc, I just found the e-mails without the pics the pics attached on the laptop I am working on
The one thing that kept (and keeps) me from buying it that I expect the GMT hand to look like the 12hr large case GMT version

Yeah, that would make more sense. I'm not sure I've seen the regular hands he's got on that watch before. He just replied to my email for pics that he doesn't have the watch with him at his office but will send later.

Just got a movement pic from the seller but says the numbers aren't visible on the back and provided no pic.
