Could someone please help me identify this watch. I inherited it from my grandfather and it was probably purchased either in the 50s or 60s. The glass is not original and has been replaced. The watch also had a gold bracelet but was also replaced with the leather strap.

I would like to restore the watch with the correct glass and bracelet.

seems all correct to me, Richter shows Ref. 1059-29 as round case, central second,
watch is probably mid 50s, exact dating will be possible when you post a picture of the inside caseback.

If you want to make really sure contact them and ask if they made this case for Breitling

Dial and case look like the one in the 1952 catalog shown on page 73 of Richter's book. Buy one from Benno for $75-$125 - nyuk.
