Post subject:  Buying advice

Hello, I'm interested in buying a vintage Breitling. Seller says it's a 1940s model, Venus 1970, 33mm excluded crown. Can you help me to understand if it's a real Breitling and a more specific datation?
What's the price range for a similar item?
thanks

Breitling script on dial looks redone... the cursive is not consistent with others of this era I've seen... the bridge engraving on the movement is not right either... these movements were a dime a dozen back in the day so gotta be careful...

Wrong.

If the caseback is to be believed (it's not) then it's from 1958, and dial is clearly attempting to be earlier. Bridge stamp doesn't look right and the strap looks fake too.
