1969 Breitling Navitimer 24 Hour 'Twin Jet' Cosmonaute Chronograph 809, Just Serviced . . .

This is a phenomenal example (excellent over-all condition) of the much sought-after vintage Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute chronograph Ref. 809 in stainless steel on a Breitling leather strap.

The Breitling-prepared Venus 178 jewel manual-wind movement has just received a full service by the lead watchmaker at my Rolex AD, and it is operating perfectly.

Based on the colour and condition of the luminous material, my matchmaker believes the dial is original and unmolested, and I agree with him . . .

Signed six times: case, dial, crown, movement, strap, buckle.

The serial number, 1305xxx, dates the watch to approximately 1969, so this Cosmonaute is a product of the era of the space race.

Fitted with a Breitling-signed strap & buckle, this is a rare opportunity to own one of the last of the 24 hour dial Breitlings made before the rights to manufacture the watch were sold in the early 70s.

$3999 plus actual carriage.

Preferred forms of payment include a personal cheque, cashier's cheque, wire transfer, or money order. If payment is made by PayPal and not sent as a gift, 3% will be added to the total for a US buyer, and 4% will be added for payment initiated in non-US funds.
