I also use Underwood and have never had a reason to complain - not yet anyway.

I like Underwood, a little more money than Orbita but very nice. But the best, not sure that I agree with that although it's subjective. Scatola del Tempo would get my vote.

:yeahthat

Very nice piece of craftsmanship it is. Which would explain why it is so pricey.

They have a large standing cabinet with 64 rotors for only $133,000.

Has anyone tried the Accuratic expandable watch winder? It seems to tick all right right boxes - 5 different TPD settings, intermediate rest cycles, rotates clockwise, counter-clockwise and alternates and is expandable.

http://www.amazon.com/Expandable-Automa ... 462&sr=1-1

But for $60, I'm scared it falls into the "cheap" bracket and won't do my Breitling justice.

It's Chinese with plastic gears. Probably quiet for a couple of weeks, functional for a couple of months and then a watch box.

IF it runs at all out of the box. Amazon is quite good about returns, but I've had about a 50% complete failure rate from intial start up with these "pretend" winders. 100% over just a few months. Here is a review I did on a super-cheapy -

I use a brookstone dual winder, with separate motor for each head. You can also buy single use and a quad winder, again with separate motors for each head. The dual winder unit cost $99 from memory and is very good; I've had it for at least 6 months with no issues and most importantly it's quiet. There is a two year warranty also for peace of mind.

I will say though that the settings are not ideal i.e. you can't put it on for 14 hours and then rest for 10, however that problem is easily solved with a light timer, which is cheap and effective.

This is exactly what I do. I have both the dual and the quad winders from Brookstone. I have had them for close to 2 years, and they run just as quiet and smooth as the day I picked them up. Sergio gave me the tip on the light timer which solves the lack of resting periods.

All in all I am very happy with it given that I was out of pocked less than $400 for 2 winders that house 6 watches total.

So in your opinion you suggest to pick up the brookstone dual watch holder as opposed to a single from say, wolf designs? Thx in advance as I am in the market.

Bump! Any suggestions?

This side of the form seem to have very little traffic!

Typing Eilux into the search function generates quite a few results so that might be a starting point if people don't have much experience.

I'm a fan of the modular system from Wolf Designs. They are quiet, solid and provide a broad range of programs for winding. And the best part is that you can add winders as your collection grows. Up to 12 can run on a single plug. The only downside I see so far is that a bunch of these take more space than one multi-watch winder. Topper Jewelers sells a version of this winder for $199 and sometimes has coupon codes.

I actually have these on the way, found a 10% discount as well.
