You aren't going to find a 'kit' - there are plenty of cheap Chinese ones on eBay, and I would stay well away.

Here's my recommended basic list from a couple of years ago - viewtopic.php?f=28&t=39540#p290507

Supermoto I bought mine from The supplier in Australia that Hacko lists on his website. But you can easily buy all the pieces in the kit he lists off eBay :)

Pulled apart a seiko 5 a few months back, oiled it and modded it into a Fifty Five Fathoms mod with new dial, bezel and hands. Was a lot of fun. Sadly the power reserve is now rubbish, so will try redoing it again sometime soon :) stressful the first time but a lot of fun!

Did you replace the mainspring or reuse the same one?. Did you oil the mainspring after inserting into the barrel?

a small plug here, but you could have a look at my blog at http://www.watchstuff.org

i've written a tutorial on watch tools and completly stripped down a Vostok Amphibia watch. serviced the movement and rebuilt it. There are other movement dissassemblies including a 6497, DG2813, Miyota 8215
