Hello - I just received as a gift a Ladies Colt Oceane (Model A77380/G600SS) and believe it to be authentic, however it has the word "TEVA" etched on the on the case just above the serial number. I can't find any reference to this word or what it means. The box, paperwork, dial, logos and engraving all have the standard high quality of a Brietling (I did a complete compare with a know watch from a dealer). The watch even has the "bluish" tint to the sapphire crystal....but the TEVA is bugging me!

Any thought out there on this forum??

May simply be a commissioned piece, but it's not an edition that I have ever heard of. Can you give us some pictures?

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Thanks. When I initially checked flicker it said "you are at the first and last" but I can see the other shots now.

Hmmm. Watch looks legit to me but always tough to say with MOP. I'm afraid I'm clueless on the TEVA thing. A wild, wild guess is all that I would have. Diamond bezel manufacturer or stones?

Sorry I can't be more help.

Hmmmm...the MOP dial and bezel were custom set with diamonds, but both dial and bezel is Breitling manufactured.

Never heard of TEVA Diamonds, but I'll check it out to see if there is a connection.

Thanks so much!

Dial and bezel are clearly aftermarket diamonds so br549's probably on to something.

Thanks everyone.

I was aware that the diamonds we set "aftermarket". How does that affect the watch value? Do you guys still think the watch is legit?

Underlying watch will be real, no decent fakes of this, but the dial in particular is going to kill the value unfortunately because Breitling likely won't service it because it has been modified.

Here is a thought, but TEVA is a large Footwear company and maybe the watch was bought and etched for someone there as a company gift? Watch looks real enough and is very Beautiful! I have seen many company do that. They give a company gift and have the case back etched with the company's name. Just a thought anyway, but would be my guess. Doesn't change the value of the watch one little bit if this is the case!

Thanks modgoldwing46! You are right on the money...even though the watch was a gift, I was able to contact the dealer and he confirmed that is was a TEVA special edition made for the company. I actually got the watch by mistake! The dealer asked I return it so he could replace it with an identical watch without the "TEVA". So all's well, that ends well. I love my new COLT Oceane and think it is beautiful and know that it is 100% Breitling - well, except for the diamonds:)

Take care!
