Hi All,

I need some advice about watch bands. I am about to order a Montbrillant Datona and wanted to get a leather strap however I believe it may be cheaper to get a stainles steel strap to start with and then purchase a separate leather strape.

Ideally I will change between the 2 at intervals.

Has anyone got any info or advice on this?

Thanks
Mark

First off :welcome:

As for straps the US MSRP prices for the Montbrillant Datora goes like this:

$5400 head only
$5560 leather
$5800 leather w/dep
$5880 croco
$6120 croco w/dep
$6800 steel navitimer

$160 leather
$480 crocodile
$240 deployment buckle
$1400 navitimer bracelet

So as you can see it's irrelevant how you order it. often times you can get a better discount on a watch than the accessory if ordered separately so it would make more sense to order the most expensive option which is the steel. That said, many times a dealer will throw in the other strap when done this way, so ask for a deal ;)

Thanks for your prompt reply and info!

I ended up getting the deployment buckle with brown croc strap on white face...

Now have to wait 6-8 weeks.... but looking forward to it.

Cheers

I live in Sydney and got a good deal through a client. The watch is not in Australia so needs to be imported and apparently takes 6-8 weeks... seems strange when they airfreight the watch but, this is what it takes....

Hi Guys

Another question on this, I have seen the instructions how to change the straps and braclets which are very useful! However where do yuo get the tool to facilitate this...?

Still hanging out for the watch to arrive.....

Cheers

I'd recommend the Bergeon 6767F springbar tool. Do a quick google search and see if there is anyone in your area selling them, if not there are a number of other internet sources that sells them.
