Just purchase a Breitling Navitimer quartz with the following numbers on the back: 80360 and 21718 and F56059. Help please with what the numbers mean, also with the year and which manual I need? Thanking you in advance.

Photos always help. That said, 80360 and F56059 are the references numbers (probably has two because of the period it was manufactured) so you have a Breitling Aerospace, which is (now) part of the Professional series from between 1985 and 1995. 21718 is the serial number. Everything you need to know is here and a soft copy of the manual here. If you want a hard copy manual, you might be able to find one on eBay at a reasonable price if you are patient.

Thank you so much for the information. Exactly what I needed. I just purchased the watch and the independent dealer put in a new battery. It is, of course, at this moment, working. Should I have it serviced now? By Breitling? By an independent watchmaker? I am in the USA. Any suggestions for an independent watchmaker? Thanking you again in advance.

My view, which is not shared by everyone, is that the watch will tell you when it needs a service, so don’t fix what is not broken. Sorry, I do not live in the US, so cannot recommend an independent watchmaker.
