My 2014 SuperOcean has developed an issue where pulling the crown out to the second position no longer stops the second hand or allows me to change the time. I noticed this when I went to reset the date for 1 March (which worked) and correct the time (which didn’t).

Of course the watch will need to go in for service, but wondering if this is a typical issue for the SuperOcean? Seems like an odd failure for being just over 4 years old.

Can happen. I've had a broken crown stem on a Panerai and Girard-Perregaux. That's why I only service watches when the watch tells me it’s time for a service.

Welcome to the wonderful wide world of Swiss luxury mechanical timepieces. I feel your pain OP. I currently have a watch in for service and not that long ago I just had my Submariner serviced. Now my B-2 Professional is waiting in line as it’s next to go as it awaits servicing. Those service fees add up fast! Sure does make a strong argument for quartz watches, don’t you think?
