Post subject:  A couple questions

Hi,

Im new to this forum and just wanted to ask a few questions on the super avenger 2 i purchased last week from goldsellers as new.

My watch has the numbered face instead of the ""battoned" numbers, i have looked on the breitling website and cannot find the watch. Is there a way for me to check what year my watch is or does this mean its an older model and its been miss sold as new?

I have also received with the watch a certificate of authenticity and a digital warranty card. Is there a way for me to check that my watch matches up to all the paperwork i have been given?

This is my first watch so i apologise for the stupid questions.

Thanks
Alex

If it matches the digital card it's a couple of years old max.

On the back of your watch, look for the model number, this is the one that starts with a letter and is normally 5 digits (A13550 for example). Follow down from this to the edge of the case back and you'll find a smaller number, 7-8 digits, this is your serial and should match the COSC number on the digital card.

The watch case will be engraved with a production date, but this is between the lugs under the bracelet. If you're going to have a go at finding it, get a proper bracelet removal tool as a slip with a screwdriver will murder the back of your brand new watch.

Thanks for the reply, I thought if a watch is purchased as new it should be made within that year or am i incorrect at that?

cheers

No - stock will sit for years potentially in a window.
