Lately I've experienced that slide rule on my navi has gone quite stiff, and it take quite some effort to move has anyone else here experienced this also? is there any remedy to get it back to its original tension ....Best

Its likely to be a build of dirt in the mechanism. Try turning the bezel backwards and forwards a few times to see if that helps. I run my B-1 under a warm tap and that helps but maybe not advisable on a 30m WR Navi........ If all else fails it's a service issue.

I noticed that with mine and it kept getting tighter over time as I would rotate it. Then there seemed to be a instant release and then froze up. Inspected it and seemed to have the O-ring slightly bulging. Remembered reading on here or another site that you should occasionally use some dental floss and run around the ring. Said what the heck, seems that the o-ring is ruined anyway so I got some floss and lubed it liberally with silicone o-ring lube and wrapped it around the dial several times. pulled one end hard and it started running and got easier. Broke the floss once but had enough to grab around a pencil and pulled again. Pulled the floss all the way through and the dial rotated just like it did new. Guess o-ring got displaced due to friction. the Floss put it back. Now it is very smooth and firm, just like it used to be.
