I've got a Chrono Sextant model B55045 with quartz movement. According to Breitlingsource the Chrono Sextant comes with mechanical quartz (mecca quartz) movement, However, only mentioned models B55046, B55047 are mentioned. Can anyone confirm with certainty that all Chrono Sextant comes with mecca quartz movements? I've seen many posts selling this exact model saying quartz and mecca quartz so I'm not sure what I have. Thanks for any help.

All versions use the same mecha-quartz movement - quartz watch with mechanical chronograph module.

Thanks for the confirmation. Your clarification of the Mecca-Quarzt movement is as I thought and have read somewhere but cannot not locate. I have a buyer who insist that there exist such a thing as a Chrono Sextant model with mechanical movement backed up with a quartz movement. I'm not aware of a Breitling movement that does anything like a Seiko Kinetic I once owned. Not sure how to settle this with him other than asking here and somehow contact Breitling. I tried looking for a central Breitling contact email but they seem to only want you to reach out to their retail outlets. I'm not sure how interested a local Breitling authorized dealer will have in answering this question.

There is no such thing as a 'dual fuel' Breitling - the mecha-quartz quartz movement with mechanical module is as close as they come. The buyer is welcome to come here and ask for himself and I am sure other members will confirm.
