Hi guys,

I have a 3 month old Breitling Avenger II GMT. I haven't been wearing it much lately but have noticed that after a full wind, it will not hold a charge overnight. Today, I picked it up, it was dead so I pulled out the crown to begin winding. But after about 4-5 turns the second hand started moving again (it usually took about 15-20 turns before any second-hand movement). Now, after about 8-10 turns I started hearing the *clicking* noise (I assume the clutch disengaging?). Usually I wouldn't hear the *clicking* until about 40ish turns.

Basically it appears to be fully wound from a dead-stop in about 8-10 turns of the crown, but hold less than 15 hours reserve power. I also noticed the sound of the rotor is a lot more audible when I shake my wrist while wearing the watch. I don't recall whether it was this audible before.

Anyone else ever experience something similar?

Sounds like dirt in the running train that is causing excessive friction that the power reserve can't overcome, it needs service attention.

Thanks for the info, Roff. I wonder how this happened. I've been wearing my old Seamaster a whole lot more lately just to preserve my new Breitling. =[

I'll be contacting Breitling today. Thanks again!
