I just purchased a Colt Chronograph A13035 from a trusted private dealer . He said it that it was a bit difficult to wind but worked fine and kept time.
The winding was fine on my first attempt and the crown screwed in fine I then unscrewed the crown pulled it out to adjust time ,pushed it in slightly to adjust the date but from that point on I could not get the date to stay as I tried to screw in the crown to secure.
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

It sounds like it needs a service, could be damaged teeth in the keyless works or a problem with the crown stem.

I wouldn't if you don't know the service history, you could be doing more damage, and the crown stem could be (further) damaged if it won't screw down.

It winds and screws in fine it just doesn't seem to release the date until it is 50% screwed in
