Hi all,
New to forum but adore Breitling. I currently have a a two tone Crosswind (circa 2000) bought from a reputable dealer in Germany
http://www.uhrenkapital.com/ Love the watch, which came with no box, but their guarantee and papers of authenticity. However, I'm noticing tiny flecks of gold flaking off crown when setting time, it generally gains four mins per week, so weekly adjustment. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it acceptable to have a $5000 high end watch that gains 30 secs or so a day and leaches gold plate from the crown from touch of fingers? Everything else about this timepiece impresses, but I'm thinking that as Uhrenkapital fully serviced this otherwise immaculate watch before sale it shouldn't be gaining time, let alone flaking gold plate off the crown...
Any comments most welcome.
Regards, Klumpster.
