Hi all. I'm a Breitling newbie and I just got my Navitimer from Govberg. The watch works and everything works but the red "stick" in the middle of the watch doesn't move. Is that normal? Can i fix it? Everything else works except that. I'm worried! TIA!

So when you pull crown out and change the time, the red hand doesn't move at all? That keeps the 24 hour time as the regular time moves, sounds like something is wrong, did you talk to Govberg yet?

The time is correct so I haven't moved anything. Am I suppose to turn like a certain number of times before the watch functions normally?

For every hour the regular time moves that red arrow should move an hour on the outside bezel time automatically

It's not a second hand, so see if it moves in a couple hours

Called govberg and it was my noobness problem. Everything solved. My question now is that I bought it pre-owned from govberg but it was bought in October 2015 n still under the 5 year warranty. Can I use that warranty with Breitling and Tourneau (since its the closest to me) if something needs to be fixed?

Well this is an entertaining thread, but let's try and provide some accurate advice now!

The 'stick' in the middle is the chronograph (stop watch) seconds hand. It starts moving, along with the minute and hour subdials hands when you press the top pusher. It stops when you press that pusher again and then resets when you press the bottom pusher.

Breitling's warranty is global and good for the five years since first sale regardless of owner. Any Breitling dealer can arrange to have Breitling perform warranty work.

Well it's look like Roff's got you sorted you out, so that's good! That said, I would strongly recommend spending a bit of time reading the manual and also reading up on the various do's and don'ts of mechanical watches on forums like this and via other internet resources. Looked after correctly, a mechanical watch will easily out-live you, but you can also cause expensive damage if you're not up to speed with how they work and what their limitations are. And non-warranty repairs (i.e. those not caused by manufacturing faults) can get expensive very quickly.

Welcome to the Breitling club.
