What do you mean with the "bezel's swelling"? The bezel on my SO is certainly not swelling.

When new the rubber is flush with the indices/numbers. I bought a preowned one, & the rubber has "swollen" so it is actually slightly raised above the indices. I bought a new one for future exchange, & the rupper itself is perfectly flush. So I am assuming some outside
contact causes this, lotion, aftershave.

I have not had that experience. Maybe it appears swollen because it's worn and not perfectly matte. I've said it before I'm impressed with the durability. I am really happy with mine and how it has worn over the pas 2-3 years.
