Purchased my SO in 2007 from an A.D. It has kept perfect time and have never had any problems with it, "knock on wood." That being said, should I send it in for service or a tune up, or should I ask the AD to do it, or just leave it alone and not do anything? Very conflicted and definitely would apptreciate suggestions.

If you brought it to the AD they would send it in. I don't think AD's do any tune ups or anything. I've had mine about the same time and not going to bring it in unless there is a problem. If it ain't broken....... I'm sure there are some on here that would say do whatever the company says, but for between 500 and 1000 I will wait for now.

The oils in your watch age at a predictable and linear rate. After 7 years they are no longer capable of providing effective lubrication, that's simply reality. Whether you decide to run a watch with no lubrication until it starts showing symptoms is up to you, but I know what I would be doing.
