I am new to this blog and have a few questions.

First, am looking for an AD in Colorado for cleaning/maintenance and adding a link to the bracelet.

2. What is the best method of home cleaning?

3. How often should the watch be sent to an AD for service/cleaning?

4. What is the preferred rotation of a watch winder? I think mine is going clockwise now.

Bonus: I was also curios to the exact model I have. It looks the most like a Aeromarine Series- Super Avenger but it is a 50th Anniversary Air Force edition with a blue face. It is stainless and has a five link "pilot" band I believe. On the back it says 066/500 and SERIE LIMITEE 500 EXEMPLAIRES :?: :?: Thank You.[/b]

Well post some pictures and we'll have a better idea of what it is, which will also make it easier to determine the watch winder direction (but I assume that clockwise is working - and that would be correct for a Breitling 13 powered SA if that is what you have).

Breitling will tell you that servicing should be performed every 5 years unless you frequently dive with your watch in which case the gaskets may need replacement every 2 years or even more frequently. General consensus is that it needs a service when it can't keep time consistently - 5 - 7 years is the norm for a Breitling.

For cleaning there are as many different approaches as there are members - a gentle detergent is usually fine with a soft toothbrush to get into the difficukt to reach areas. Cape Cod cloths are great at polishing out the tiny scratches that come from daily wear, but you don't need to do that with every clean.

Best place to find an AD to help if no one here can provide a personal recommendation would be the dealer section of www.breitling.com.

Oh - and welcome!!!
