After some advice any one had a b1 where the back light just stopped working.
I've had no 2 seconds jumps or battery indicator show. Is it high chance the battery is coming to the end of its life?
All other function work no problems
Thanks

Yes, You are in a low battery mode now.
So the backlight is stopped, in order to let the other funbctions working properly (except the second hand jumping each 2 seconds).

Send it through your AD in UK for a maintenance service, it will cost to you 87£ I think.
Quartz Watch maintenance service: Battery replacement. Checking all working parameters of the movement and watch functions. Cleaning of case and metal bracelet, replacement of all gaskets and water-resistance control.

Well maybe, OP says that the 2 seconds indicator is NOT occurring. It likely is an early sign of the battery getting low, but may also be an issue with the light. Either way it will need service attention.

Well that sounds more like a problem with the switch. Still the same answer though - it needs service attention.
