For my 18th birthday my dad bought me a Breitling Superocean Chronometre from auction yesterday. However, never having dealt with the mechanism of changing the time and date I must have pulled too hard on the crown so now it has come off. I tried to put it back on with some relative success as I can change the date and day but whenever i try and pull the crown out further it just comes off so I can't change the time. Is there any easy way to remedy the situation, if not how much will it cost to get repaired. Hopefully, it can be easily remedied as I rather not tell my dad about this.

There was a similar case just a week ago.

You have to go and see your AD that will take care of the problem. Hopefully you have just removed the crown without damaging the stem.

Hopefully the piece is a real timepiece, otherwise an AD won't touch it.

Second, if you have to order parts, it may be a timely wait for you. I hope it's soemthing simple, but you never know.

Good luck!

hey, i just had this problem. i sent to my AD and he ordered my a new crown for 70 bucks. I have a chronomat evolution. I'd take it to an AD to get this serviced and a new one put on.
