I just got a new Brietling watch as a gift from my gf. It appears to be Chronomat P.A.N. Frecce Tricolori (13050). I wanted to know if anyone knows how to set this watch, including the sub dials on this type of watch? It has the main crown in the middle with a push pin above and below it.

Well the subdials can't be set.

The one at 12 o'clock is for the chronograph (stopwatch) minutes and the one at 6 o'clock is for the chronograph hours. The chronograph is started by pressing the top button, stopped by pressing the top button again and then reset using the bottom button (that only works when stopped). The chronograph seconds is the big central seconds hand.

The 9 o'clock subdials is the running seconds hand that is tied to the regular minute and hour hands.

To set the date and time you first need to unscrew the crown by turning it towards you. When unscrewed it will pop out on its own to position 1. This is for winding the watch - 40 turns away from you will be a full wind and if you wear the watch every day it will then run based on the movement of your wrist keeping it wound. Pulling the crown out one click to position 2 (you can tell because the running seconds hand will still be moving) is for changing the date. DO NOT use this between an indicated time of 8pm and 3am as you can seriously damage the watch. The date will only change in one direction - towards you I believe on this movement.

Pulling the crown out again to the second click / position 3 (the running seconds hand will now be stopped) allows you to change the time. You can adjust time forwards at any time, but the same rules apply as with the date for winding time backwards - not between 8pm and 3am.

When you are done, push the crown back in and hold it against the case while screwing it down again (turning away from you).
