Wasn't much a vintage collector till i realised that my very nice grandpa had many very rare vintage watches. Hence my interest has been build up and wanting to find out more.

I am wondering whats the valuation of this piece (everything is in original condition). Greatly appreciate your kind expertise on this.

Cheers!

Kelvin

It's very difficult to value something without knowing more information, and the flash hides most of the detail in that picture. Value will be impacted by condition, service history, degree of originality, year of production, and of course the material that the case is made of.

I would want to see a better dial picture as well as a movement picture and caseback (in and out) before putting any confidence behind a number, but a good condition 809 with a service history is probably $3,000 - $3,300 in this economy.

Hi Roffensian,

Thanks for your response. I didn't check back on this thread for quite a long time.

But anyhow... i have decided to keep this watch unless i have a great offer from a sincere buyer.

Here are some pictures to share with everyone..... If there is any interested buyer, please kindly private message me.

Cheers!

condition = 85%
service history = About a year ago
degree of originality = Only the strap has been changed, as you can see the two tone colour. Everything else is 100% original.
year of production = 1967
material of the case = Gold plated
