Since we're again discussing vintage stuff here's a couple that I just received back. Neither one worked when I bought them and both had crystal replacements and mainsprings to get them going again. The gold watch is from 1956 and the stainless is sometime before 1944. They are both 100% original down to the worn crowns (tough to wind the gold one because the crown is smooth). The upper photo is the Venus 170 and the lower is the Venus 188.

Exceptional work - whoever does your restorations for you certainly knows what they are doing Paul.

If I recall you are big on 50s watches so I would be happy to help you decontaminate the collection by relieving you of the 40s piece

Great sympathetic restorations Paul. Your watchie has retained the originality whilst making the watches usable. :) :)

Paul,

I know I've asked this before but you wanted me to wait until you got the Venus 170 model back from restoration. I probably cannot afford it now anyway but I just have to ask - are you willing to sell and if so, for what price?

Joe
