Hello all,

I am new here, thannks for your advice in advance.
Few days ago I bought my first vintage chronograph, unpolished Breitling ref 2110.
It was from reputable online shop from germany.
Guy stated that watch is in UNTOUCHED condition.

I would believe, but there is one detail that seems really odd to me.
Can you see the crown, how it stands out?
I see almost 1mm space that should not be there.
Before I re-claim, wanted to ask about you experienced guys, what you think about it.

I checked other 5 watches, cant see it there, what does that tell you?

I suspect the crown was changed and a new stem installed that was not the right length. Can be fixed by a watchmaker. The watch looks nice overall and I don't think I would return a watch for what I would hope is just a small issue.

Thank you buddman, I hoped for it to be some small thing.
Winding works fine, watch keeps quite accurate time. (-1minute/day).

I need to explore, if the crown is original.
Any idea where to look/ how to check crowns for particular ref?
I checked like 10 different models on forums/ google, not sure still.

But definitely I will get back to the owner and I am gonna ask, why he said watch is untouched.
I decided to pay more for the watch, as I thought trusted source matters.
Maybe I am just not well educated on vintage Breitling, pls,
does changed crown / stem still belongs to "UNTOUCHED"?

Well if was changed, it was touched! Hard to tell in your photo if the crown is the correct one, but I certainly doesn't look immediately wrong.

Stem has been replaced and cut 0.8mm to 1.0mm too long , and the crown diameter is probably just a bit too big in diameter . The ideal gap would be 0.1 to 0.15mm btx crown back and case.
The watch looks very nice and it is really a minor thing , easy to fix by a watchmaker , and imho not enough to claim against the description " untouched" .
