Apologies if this has already been discussed, though I can't find anything on here relating to this AVI that recently went on eBay...

It was on at the same time as another AVI that was obviously not correct (discussed on here) but as far as I can tell this one went un-noticed or just was of no interest, though the bids did reach higher than the other incorrect one.

Whats everyones thoughts on it?... Does serial number fit for a Rachel Welch?...

no, it is a 765CP (1965 and later) and should have a black aluminum bezel.
(close to) impossible to find if the buyer doesn't happen to own one.

so, a lot better than that SuperOceanAVI abomination, but quite incorrect too.

So only the bezel is wrong?...

Is the 'SuperoceanAVI abomination' the one with Black/silver bezel and ref2005 hands that sold for £4k on ebay a few weeks ago?... Doesn't that just need the correct hands? and I presume the Superocean hands that are on it are probably worth quite a bit and very difficult to find if needed by a 2005 owner?

missed the watch u now linked to - wrong hands, as you say, but the rest seems nice and correct, rare bezel - only true issue would be the crystal, correct ones are impossible to find.

great price too, would have loved to buy that at that price.

Ah ok, no worries...

Yes price was great on the 2 tone bezel one... How much do you think those 2005 Superocean hands would be worth and could you get correct AVI ones for it?...

question of luck - u could wait for years or a set could pop up tomorrow.

haven't seen a 2005 set sell recently

Would you say this was a good price though? Even if it just needs the the correct bezel?...
