Hi all

My first post on the forums. I have recently acquired an 806 LIP Navitimer and I noticed that the central second hand of the chronograph extends past the markers of the first ring on the dial.

I haven't seen this on any other 806s that I have come across. I know the hands are likely replacements but surely they would be the correct length or is this a dial issue?

The chrono hand for Navis with the small subdials (i.e. yours) is about 1.5 mm shorter than the ones made for the larger subdials, so yes, yours is a replacement from the later versions, and the original for yours would have been shorter.

You also have a replacement sliderule

Thanks for the reply buddman - I didn't know about the shorter hands for the small subdial versions - would the modern replacement hands provided by Breitling be the exact same length or did they at one point provide replacements that were the correct length for my watch?

Yes, I know the slide rule is a replacement as well - it doesn't bother me I'm not one for obsessing over 100% originality.

Thanks for helping me out!

I dont know what Breitling has. But I don't think you would be able to just buy a hand anyway.

the shorter hands for the small subdial panda Navs have become quite impossible to find.
