Hello,

I'm a new member on Breitling Source. While i typically collect a variety of vintage pieces (Longines, JLC, Zenith), I do not own a single Breitling and spotted one that really caught my eye. I usually spend my time on watchuseek and omegaforums but registered here hoping to get your insights.

Can you help me determine the originality of this piece, and what would be fair market value?

Some basic info: 36mm chrome case, venus 188 movement, relumed hands

Thanks for helping a new member out, I really do appreciate it! :)

looks correct, a ref. 1191 w/ case manufactured in 1950.
these lever-movement chronographs based on the Venus 188 were part of the entry level segment of Breitling's offerings at the time, cases are chromed base metal, but this seems in decent condition.
I'd value it at 800-1,200 $/€ in today's market, maybe closer to the higher end, as black dial examples are quite rare.
