Here's one you don't see often. I've never seen these in any catalog but they appear to be from the late 1960's or maybe early 1970's. There's also a date only version. Might have to find a nice vintage mesh bracelet for it. ;-) Platinum colored dial is a little hard to get a good pic of.

Paul - why is the serial number on this watch completely out of line with Breitling serials?

Not uncommon on some models starting in the late sixties and early seventies. The smaller Superocean series in the 1969 catalog also had different serial numbers that didn't coincide with the Breitling norms. It was probably because Breitling was trying to be cost effective and using other suppliers for some different styles.

If you have either of those sources I'd appreciate a scan. Thanks!

Love the cushion case watches. Would it be possible to see what the back looks like?
Thanks,

If you look closely I believe the serial number at the bottom to be original to the case and the Breitling and ref 4054 added later when Breitling offered them.

Currently have it on a nice NSA bracelet I had laying around. Seems like a nice match.

Thank you Paul. This gives me something to think about when looking at late 60s through the 70s models.
By chance, do you know what movement they put into the TO 4054?
