Howdy everyone,

Just joined the forum and have been slowly reading through all the great content everyone has provided.

I've purchased Richter's book knowing it's a good base but that there are some inaccuracies. Is there an organized list of which watches in the books are franken/incorrect/etc to help me navigate? I'm sure I'll be posting my first "is this watch real?" thread sooner or later, but I'd also like to educate myself by using Richter's book on identifying correct references.

I'm specifically focused on Top Time references, but I think it'd also be useful for newer collectors like myself. If a list like this currently does not exist, then I guess I've got some work to do . . .

Thanks in advance!

the list of errors in Richter is too long to just sit down for an hour and make it
if you want give it a shot please be my guest and I will applaud you for your effort ! (and give some info if/when needed)

btw , Benno never intended this to be a true faultless reference book. he knows there are a lot of errors in there

he said about the mistakes in book ... "the Photos were made mostly from my own watches and the book was not made as a reference . It can be the there are some mistakes."

Thanks for the links guys. I saw the spring bar site and vintage-breitling sources. I may just have to bug everyone as I put a list of top-times together.

Can I ask whether the list of references in Richters book is pretty complete/accurate? Itll at least give me a good starting point.

Oh, happy turkey day to everyone.
